A Skylit Drive

Shaped in 2006 while most of its bandmembers had been attending senior high school in Lodi, California, A Skylit Drive quickly set up a familiar post-hardcore sound, merging the aggression of screamo using the pop-leaning areas of emo. The sextet released its debut EP, She Viewed the Sky, in 2007 on Tragic Hero Information. By the finish of that season, A Skylit Get had endured many lineup changes, a predicament that lent itself well to 2008’s tense, angst-fueled full-length debut, Cables…And the idea of Breathing. The record broke in to the Billboard Best 200 and helped to determine the group beyond its West Coastline confines. The music group kept busy over summer and winter, touring with similar-minded clothes like Chiodos, Greeley Estates, August Melts away Crimson, and Sky Eats Aircraft, in addition to launching the live Dvd movie Forget about the Cables in December. The next June, A Skylit Drive released their sophomore work, Adelphia, which proclaimed their first discharge for Fearless Information. As usual, the people supported its discharge by hitting the street, signing up for up with the Warped Tour that summertime before journeying across America, the U.K., and European countries in early 2010. By Feb, they’d begun focusing on another record, Identity burning, that was released a year afterwards in 2011, and will be the last LP to feature business lead guitarist Joey Wilson, who’d still left the band the next season. A Skylit Drive’s 4th studio long participant, Rise, was released in 2013 via Tragic Hero Information and peaked at the quantity 41 slot for the Billboard Best 200. The next year noticed the departures of bassist/scream vocalist Brian Light and drummer Cory La Quay, and in January 2015, the music group released an all-acoustic edition of Rise known as Rise: Ascension. March noticed the appearance of new users Michael Labelle (Ex lover Reverie) on guitars and Brandon Richter (Motionless in White colored) on drums, with the brand new full-length ASD shedding later that Oct.
