A Great Big Pile of Leaves

Brooklyn indie rock and roll unit AN EXCELLENT Big Pile of Leaves was founded by guitarist/vocalist Pete Weiland and drummer Tyler Soucy, Connecticut natives who have moved to NY after their music group Farewell to Hands split in 2007. Their audio was rooted in both breezy traditional indie pop and ’90s American underground works just like the Dismemberment Program. The duo done and self-released two EPs, Fiery Functions, Vol. 1 and Vol. 2. Following the release of the recordings, they extended to add Tucker Yaro and Matt Fazzi. As the music group obtained momentum, they started touring, eventually carrying out displays with Saves your day, Motion Town Soundtrack, and State Anything. This year 2010 they finished their initial full-length album PERHAPS YOU HAVE Seen My Prefrontal Cortex?, that they backed by touring using the Appleseed Ensemble and Hellogoodbye. They continuing with an increase of live performances as well as the release of many EPs before their second full-length, You’re Often on My Brain, materialized in 2013.
