Sexwitch

Combining psychedelic rock and roll with folk tunes from all over the world, Sexwitch is usually a collaboration between Bat for Lashes’ Natasha Khan, producer Dan Carey, as well as the music group Model. The project’s origins stretch back again to 2013’s “The Bride-to-be,” a cover of the pre-revolution Iranian folk track that the performers worked on collectively and Carey released via his Speedy Wunderground label. Seeking to collaborate once again, he and Khan proceeded to go record buying and discovered psych-folk tunes hailing from Morocco, Thailand, Iran, and america that they wished to interpret. Dubbed Sexwitch for the mystical and sensual power inside the music, the task produced its live debut using a shock established at Wales’ Green Guy Festival in August 2015. Sexwitch’s self-titled initial album, that was documented in Carey’s South London studio room, was released per month later.
