Shams

A short-lived alternative group from the first ’90s, NY City’s the Shams were made up of associates Amy McMahon Rigby (electric guitar), Sue Garner (bass), and Amanda Uprichard (drums). The trio released only a set of produces — a full-length debut, Quilt, and a three-track EP, Sedusa (both in 1994) — before divorce.
