Basta

Created in Cologne in 2000, Basta was a German a cappella group. The brainchild of schoolmates William Wahl and Rene Overmann, Basta’s lineup experienced some early hiccups, but ultimately resolved in 2004, simply with time for the band’s second recording, B. A continuing touring routine, and a flair for the mildly funny received the group a good amount of compliment, and in 2006 Basta could contribute a monitor compared to that year’s Globe Glass festivities (the solitary “Gast Bei Freunden”). The group released recording number 4, Wir Sind Wie Wir Sind, in 2007.
