From Bubblegum to Sky was the single task of indie-pop mastermind Mario Hernandez, given birth to in San Antonio, TX in 1967. While going to senior high school in Alameda, CA, he started learning acoustic guitar, and with classmate Jamie McCormick created the duo Teeny Information (later on Teeny Hi-Fi), issuing their debut solitary “Weekend Proceed” in 1992. Later on rechristened Ciao Bella, the duo obtained a significant pop underground preferred in 1997 using the LP 1, and then dissolve immediately after; seeking to additional fuse his twin obsessions — American pop and Japanese kitsch — Hernandez installed From Bubblegum to Sky, liberating the solitary “My 1000 Years with Robots” in 1999.
