Matt Christensen formed European Auto in 1997 like a creative store for experimental consumer electronics, much like pioneer Brian Eno. Incorporating textured horns, string plans, and piano, Traditional western Automatic’s sultry soundscapes produced its debut with It’s 1995, released on Loose Thread Recordings in 2000.
