Tom Hooper

Best known like a founding person in beloved Canadian alt-rockers the Grapes of Wrath, Sodium Spring Island-based vocalist/songwriter Tom Hooper spent his formative years on-stage along with his sibling Chris in the Uk Columbian punk clothing Gentlemen of Horror. In 1983 the Hoopers, along with fellow B.C. vocalist/songwriter Kevin Kane, shaped the Grapes of Wrath, and spent the rest from the ’80s and the first portion of ’90s liberating critically acclaimed albums like Treehouse, Right now & Once again, and NOWADAYS, the latter which spawned the Tom Hooper-penned strike singles “YOU MIGHT BE Best” and “I Am Right here.” The Hooper brothers released two albums beneath the name Ginger following the Grapes disbanded, and in 2003, Tom released his single debut, The Unexplored Cosmos, a lot of which made an appearance once again digitally on 2009’s Tracks through the Truck. Tom and Kevin reunited beneath the Grapes of Wrath moniker in 2000 for the recording Field Trip, and once again in 2013 for Large Road, which displayed the 1st outing for the group since 1991’s NOWADAYS to include all the original members.
