Brasserie Trio

A little group break-off in the Italian Instabile Orchestra, the Brasserie Trio first performed on the 1992 Moers Festival, and since that time has performed in concert at a range of unlikely venues: a casino, a supermarket, and the center of a forest, amongst others. The associates from the Trio consist of Alberto Mandarini on trumpet and flugelhorn; Carlo Actis Dato on bass clarinet, and tenor and baritone saxophones; and possibly Sebi Tramontana or Lauro Rossi on trombone. The group includes a number of designs in its compositions, from Dixieland jazz to Italian folk melodies, spiced by plenty of wackiness. A popular at international celebrations, the Trio effectively weds slapstick silliness (Italian design) to free of charge improvisation.
