The Brooklyn indie rock outfit Meneguar features Justin Wertz, Jeremy Earl, Jarvis Taveniere, and Christian Deroeck. Produced in 2004 after using various rings, Meneguar began documenting their debut, I WAS CREATED during the night, within the Brooklyn community of Bushwick that wintertime. A limited-edition pressing for MAGIC PILL followed in-may; from the year’s end, Nicolas Vernhes (Metallic Jews, Ted Leo, Fischerspooner) authorized to remix and remaster I WAS CREATED during the night for Troubleman Unlimited. After an extraordinary performance in the annual South by Southwest meeting in March, the recently minted I WAS CREATED during the night found its way to June.
