Howe II

After documenting a solo instrumental album in 1988, guitarist Greg Howe made a decision to broaden his musical horizons and incorporate his talents in just a group framework. Sibling Al stepped in as vocalist, with Vern Parsons and Joe Nevolo dealing with bass and drum responsibilities, respectively. Released in 1989, their debut record was an extremely accomplished function that combined components of Truck Halen and Increasing Power; Al Howe’s vocals had been reminiscent of classic Dave Lee Roth, while Greg’s electric guitar style had not been far taken off that of the Swedish guitarist Yngwie Malmsteen. Their second record constructed on these solid foundations, but highlighted even more melodic compositions.
