Yatha Sidhra’s origins get back to the middle-’60s, when two brothers, multi-instrumentalist Rolf and drummer Klaus Fichter started playing in a variety of groups together, you start with a spirit group known as Lea Gamble that contains them and two American ex-service males. By the first 1970s the Fichter’s had been teamed with People from france bassist Jean-Michel Boivert and flautist Peter Elbracht in a difficult rock band known as Brontosaurus, which due to the flute sounded a little like Jethro Tull. In early 1973, Rolf Fichter began work on an extended new function, “A Yoga Mass,” and quickly started to perform it live with Brontosaurus.
