THE BRAND NEW York trip-hop outfit Wax Poetic came together in 1997 beneath the reign of Turkish-born music guru Ilhan Ersahin. The group originated at the favorite and now-defunct golf club Conserve the Robots, and contains a volatile band of music artists jamming together to make a weighty groove of drum ‘n’ bass combined with quick dance components. Ersahin and business authorized to Atlantic within the second option ’90s and released their debut self-titled recording in June 2000.
