In ways, the name says everything — Chicago’s Very Truly Yours make the type of earnest, sugar-sweet tunes that provide rise to comparisons to acts just like the School and Allo Darlin’, not forgetting influential indie pop groups just like the Softies and Heavenly. Frontwoman Kristine Capua (previously from the Lorimer Audio) teamed up with Lisle Mitnik (acoustic guitar), Dan Hyatt (bass), and Andy Rogers (drums) to create Extremely Truly Yours in the summertime of 2008. The group started to garner severe interest from indie pop aficionados just a few weeks later, if they distributed the stage using the Pains to be Pure in mind for a loaded display at Schubas in Feb 2009. During the period of the next yr, Very Truly Yours produced several compilation disc performances (including areas on All of the Young ladies I’ve Ever Loved, via Pop Melody Love, and a WeePOP! compilation, Beginning Anew); saw the discharge of a divide EP on Cloudberry Information (Understudies/Extremely Truly Yours); and self-released their initial EP, Reminders. Their debut full-length, Stuff You Used to state, arrived on Skywriting Information in the springtime of 2010, just a couple of a few months before the music group came out on the much-touted NY Popfest.
