Strawberry Whiplash

One of the C-86-design indie pop tasks involving Glasgow’s Lawrence “Laz” McCluskey, Strawberry Whiplash is primarily a cooperation between McCluskey and vocalist Sandra. Deriving their name through the rings Strawberry Switchblade and Meats Whiplash, the duo developed a lovely, reverb-kissed audio that nodded to works like Tiger Capture, Heavenly, and Dark Tambourine. Producing their first appearance within the Matinee Strike Parade, a compilation released honoring that label’s tenth wedding anniversary, Strawberry Whiplash continued release a their debut EP, Who’s within your Dreams, in 2008. The duo after that adopted it up with another EP (2009’s Picture Ideal) and solitary (2011’s “Prevent, Look and Pay attention”) before liberating their debut recording, Hits in the automobile, in early 2012. After a few many years of inactivity, the duo came back in past due 2015 using their second record for Matinee, Stuck in the CONSTANT Now.
