Overlake certainly are a trio from NJ whose music combines the hooky melodies of indie pop using the big guitars and crashing drums of classic shoegaze clothes. Overlake had been created in early 2012 in Shirt City, NJ by guitarist and vocalist Tom Barrett and bassist and support vocalist Lysa Opfer. Barrett and Opfer initial began working jointly when they had been both members of the music group known as WJ & the Lovely Sacrifice.
