Munir Nurettin Beken

b. 1964, Istanbul, Turkey. From age 11 he researched at the Condition Conservatory of Istanbul focusing on the Turkish traditional repertoire, the ud (Turkish/Middle Eastern lute) and in addition Western traditional music and structure. He graduated with honours and taught on the Conservatory whilst learning for his bachelors level. During this time period he also begun to perform on regional tv. He also symbolized his nation at a global music celebration in Poland and got a lot of his compositions performed by ensembles and orchestras.
