Lord Newborn & the Magic Skulls

The project of three producer/musicians, Cash Tag, Shawn Lee, and Tommy Guerrero, Lord Newborn & the Magic Skulls aren’t an organization in the frequently accepted sense of the term, but are even more of a collaborative studio configuration. Functioning at Cash Mark’s L.A.-structured studio in 2008, the trio come up with a lo-fi soundscape of styles, mixing jazz, funk, bossa nova, prog rock, and digital psychedelia with a variety of is better than and breaks right into a monster mix-up that they released in ’09 2009 in Ubiquity Records as the self-titled Lord Newborn & the Magic Skulls.
