Juarez Araújo

A noted instrumentalist who had his name connected with jazz and bossa nova because the ’50s and ’60s onward, Juarez Araújo was the soloist from the Brazilian Jazz Sexteto and of his group Juarez e Seu Conjunto, with which he played in European countries as well as the Orient. Beginning in music like a music group saxophonist and clarinetist, Araújo honed his abilities in the Military. After his assistance, he became a specialist in the orchestra of Rádio Poti (Natal, Rio Grande perform Norte), where he worked well before early ’50s. In 1954, Araújo shifted to São Paulo, playing in Clóvis Elly’s orchestra and in a number of r / c. In 1956, he shifted to Rio de Janeiro, becoming a member of the Osvaldo Borba orchestra.
