José Roberto Bertrami

José Roberto Bertrami was most widely known as the keyboardist using the group Azymuth, but he also carved away a substantial profession like a sideman and single artist from the music group. Born Feb 21, 1946, in the Tatui area of São Paulo, Brazil, he was classically qualified but gravitated toward the music of jazz pianist Expenses Evans. The keyboardist for the combo Tamba 4, Luíz Eça, was a coach and influence nearer to house. Initially, Bertrami caused Flora Purim and Robertinho Silva before conference drummer Ivan Conti at a bowling alley, plus they recruited bassist Alex Malheiros to create Azymuth (whose users, as it proved, were all created in 1946). While also saving in the music studios of Rio, Azymuth had been a working music group from 1977 to 1988, touring with Airto Moreira and Purim, aswell as independently. As time passes, they constructed a discography of some 40 albums, but Bertrami break up from your group in 1988, and Azymuth continued with Jota Moraes. Reuniting with Azymuth in the first ’90s, Bertrami used the ensemble just sometimes while he forged his single career. He caused several major performers, including Elis Regina, Eddie Palmieri, Marcos Valle, Jorge Ben, Sarah Vaughan, Jim Capaldi, Milton Nascimento, Toninho Horta, Tag Murphy, Vinícius de Moraes, Ithamara Koorax, and Chico Buarque. Like a innovator, Bertrami made many recordings, heading back to 1965 with Trio, The Body organ Audio in 1970, Blue Influx in 1983, Dreams Are Actual in 1990, Items WILL VARY in 2001, and Aventura in ’09 2009. He passed on on July 8, 2012. His child Victor Bertrami can be an aspiring globe fusion musician.
