Evangeline

This New Orleans-based band blends good-time, bayou country tunes with sweetly sensitive balladry. Their initial album includes a quintet going by the simple vocals of guitarist Kathleen Stieffel as well as the rowdier vocals of bassist and washboard expert Sharon Leger. Austin key pad veterinarian Beth McKee also contributes vocals, business lead guitarist Rhonda Lohmeyer composed the majority of the original music, and Nancy Buchan done the sound on fiddle and mandolin. Buchan still left before the documenting of their second record.
