Bishop Briggs is a Los Angeles-based vocalist and songwriter of dark pop. She was briefly referred to as BISHOP before reverting fully type of her branding motivation, her family’s hometown of Bishopbriggs, Scotland, to avoid dilemma with much metal band from the same name. (The moniker itself was subsequently adopted in order to avoid dilemma with a superstar who stocks her true name, yet to become uncovered.) Briggs was created in London, Britain to Scottish parents but went to college in Tokyo and Hong Kong before settling in LA after secondary college. There, she was noticed performing in an area bar, which resulted in the documenting of her initial single, “Crazy Horses,” using the making team of Tag Jackson and Ian Scott, who also helped start indie rock-band DOROTHY. The tune was certified for an Acura Television industrial and became an online hit. Exhibiting tones of trip-hop with classical guitar, digital beats, and a solid dose of spirit, “River” implemented in early 2016 and strike multiple loading and social media charts.
