The husband-and-wife duo Expenses and Bonnie Hearne first emerged in the past due ’60s as proponents from the Austin, TX, country-folk scene; over the next decades, they continued to be early and enthusiastic followers of region performers, including Lyle Lovett, Nanci Griffith, and Tish Hinojosa.
