Ativin

Ativin formed in Bloomington, IN, in the wintertime of 1994 after Chris Carothers (acoustic guitar) and Rory Leitch (drums) met at Indiana University or college. Guitarist Dan Burton became a member of the group the next springtime, cementing the band’s noisy instrumental rock audio. Steve Albini andCarl Saff documented the band’s debut EP, Supplements vs. Planes, that was released in Dec 1996. The springtime of 1997 noticed the discharge of the present day Gang Audience/Larkin solitary, the to begin several produces for Secretly Canadian Information. The band caused Andy Bryant at KING-SIZE on German Drinking water, their debut recording for Secretly Canadian, liberating it in March 1998. A go back to Albini’s Chicago studio room, Electrical Sound, yielded the four-song EP Summing the Strategy, that was released in nov 1998. Interiors adopted after a wait around of 3 years in early 2002. Carrying on on within the same vein as Interiors, Ativin released Night time Mute in early 2004.
