Anne Bourne

Anne Bourne is really a Toronto-based cellist and composer whose primary efforts are aimed toward the improvisational/20th hundred years classical world. Although her early musical education was centered on the piano, the cello became her principal performance instrument. Furthermore to cello and 20th hundred years piano research, she also analyzed both South Indian and Ghanaian drumming, in addition to free music, within the ’80s. In 1994, she started ongoing research with Pauline Oliveros, ultimately leading to qualification within the three-year Deep Hearing Program.
