Airhead

A maker of abstract downtempo digital music who pulls from dubstep and post-rock, Rob McAndrews, aka Airhead, comes from north London, Britain. As an adolescent, McAndrews played acoustic guitar in a music group with Wayne Blake that protected decades-old rock and roll and soul tracks. Like Blake, he was ultimately pulled into digital music creation. His first launch was a cooperation with Blake — the low fat yet complex and off-center “Pembroke,” released this year 2010 for the Brainmath label. By the finish of the entire year, he released his first single recording, “Paper Road,” on a single label. 2011 was fairly calm, but he added acoustic guitar to Blake’s “Lindisfarne,” which preceded a set of 2012 12″ produces — “Wait around” and “Pyramid Lake” — for the reactivated R&S label. FOR A LONG TIME, his debut recording, was released on R&S in June 2013, while he journeyed throughout the world as Blake’s touring guitarist.
