Zainal Abidin

Abidin began his music career singing having a Malaysian soft rock and roll clothing, Headwind, but still left after making a decision that his part didn’t allow him to to explore or celebrate the cultural customs of his nation. Initially, he flipped against western designs completely, embracing kampong town music and composing tracks decrying the passage of traditional tradition. Subsequently he got a far more moderate position and started to test in musical fusion, influenced by Globe Music leading lamps Papa Wema and Youssou N’Dour.
