Danny Spanos

This American vocalist/composer performed and recorded under his own name, always preferring the services of hired hands to a typical band set-up. He documented three albums through the early 80s, utilizing a variety of program music artists, including Earl Slick, Rick Derringer, Carmine Appice, Dana Strum and Frankie Banali. His design fell somewhere within Jimmy Barnes and Bryan Adams – easy to get at hard rock and roll with gritty vocals and infectious hooklines. Eventually, the music lacked real personality and he didn’t break right into the big style.
