Vocalist/pianist Calvin Scott teamed with guitarist/vocalist/composer Clarence Carter in the first ’60s. The duo cut some singles for Fairlane and Duke, contacting themselves the C & C Children over the Duke materials. Scott retired in the music business carrying out a 1966 car crash. Carter continued to superstardom being a solo spirit and R&B vocalist.
