Ben Godwin

Though singer/songwriter Ben Godwin spent the first section of his career performing in hard rock bands in Glasgow, Scotland, he eventually determined how the acoustic anti-folk format was how he wished to display himself and his craft. In 2002 he released the EP Four Tracks, accompanied by =shinyshiny= in 2004 and Lighter Compared to the Atom in 2005. That same yr, Godwin made a decision to proceed to NEW YORK, where, furthermore to writing tracks, performing, and creating albums for others, he worked well at LIFEbeat, a nonprofit that advertised HIV/AIDS avoidance and recognition through music. In 2007, influenced by the places and noises of the town in addition to by performers like Tom Waits and Jeff Buckley, Godwin released his full-length debut, Pores and skin and Bone, by himself label, Karmafarm.
