Saraya

Created in 1987 by vocalist Sandi Saraya and keyboard player Gregg Munier, this US rock-band originally travelled beneath the name Alsace Lorraine. With the help of Tony Rey (acoustic guitar), Gary Taylor (bass) and Chuck Bonfarte (drums), they transformed their name to Saraya. Fusing affects such as Center, the Pretenders and Pat Benatar, they documented a self-titled debut for PolyGram Information; a melodic and extremely polished assortment of AOR figures seen as a Sandi’s hammy but infectious vocal design. Following inner disputes Rey and Taylor stop in 1990 and had been changed by Tony Bruno and Barry Dunaway, respectively. 1991’s ONCE THE Blackbird Sings once again failed to discover success.
