Outcasts

At once the leading punk music group in North Ireland, the Outcasts’ line-up revolved round the three Cowan brothers; Greg (bass/vocals), Martin (acoustic guitar) and Colin (d. 1984; drums). This is the nucleus, though Gordon Blair experienced temporarily changed Greg when he was hurt in an automobile crash. The line-up was finished by ‘Getty’ (b. Colin Getgood; acoustic guitar) and Raymond Falls (drums). An extraordinary early solitary, ‘Magnum Pressure’, gained them the support of BBC disk jockey John Peel off. They continued to release a good debut album, seen as a the weighty rhythms made by the twin drummers. Nevertheless, before the launch of Seven Deadly Sins, Colin Cowan was wiped out in an automobile crash.
