This occasional folk unit comprises Neti Vaandrager (b. 21 August 1957, Rotterdam, Netherlands; fiddle, vocals), Chris Haigh (b. 17 August 1957, Huddersfield, Western world Yorkshire, Britain; fiddle, vocals, mandolin), Bernard O’Neill (b. 4 Sept 1961, Dublin, Eire; dual bass, vocals) and Ashley Drees (b. 25 Might 1956, Paddington, London, Britain; cittern). Produced in 1987, the associates came from a number of musical backgrounds. Haigh have been intensely into western golf swing, while O’Neill have been playing jazz. Drees’ previous times of playing Irish traditional music in Dublin, acquired resulted in his teaming up with the Dutch-born Texan Vaandrager. Playing a mixture of Cajun, golf swing, and folk music, the group impressed viewers right away, and in 1988, they gained the Ever Prepared nationwide busking competition on the BBC Radio Present. Their award was a time in CBS Rooftop Studio room which, with creation help from Andrew Cronshaw, noticed Wolf AT THE Door emerge. Vaandrager continued to become listed on Cajun music group the Companions FROM THE Rosy Hours aswell as Vivando, as well as the Poozies. O’Neill became a member of the trio George Bernard Shaw. Haigh performed sometimes with Jenny Beeching; while Drees became involved with several Irish music duos and record creation. The music group reconvened for the quirky Blazing Fiddles in 1996.
