Louisiana local Zoomer took his cue from edgy, glammed-up ’70s performers like Lou Reed, T. Rex, and Eno-era Roxy Music, albeit using a much less experimental bent. The guitarist/vocalist and his support music group — bassist/manufacturer Jo-Jo Starr, keyboardist/saxophonist John Lovedog, and drummer Utmost Garbage — released their debut record, Maximum Plastic material, in 1997.
