Znowhite

Among the several American metallic bands whose initial national publicity came by method of the Metallic Massacre compilation series (in cases like this Vol. 3, which presented their 1983 music “Hellbent”), Chicago acceleration metallic work Znowhite was shaped in 1982 by acoustic guitar and drum-playing siblings Ian Tafoya (aka Greg Fulton) and Sparks Tafoya, their bass-playing cousin Nicky Tafoya, and, after some persuasion, their manager’s sweetheart, Nicole Lee, as business lead singer. Following a limited time using the even more traditional spelling of Snowhite (a name selected in irony since basically Lee were actually African-Americans), the music group assumed the greater special “Z” spelling and got right down to business with a set of produces through indie metallic label Enigma, specifically 1984’s All Hail to Thee EP and 1985’s Kick ‘Em When They’re Down recording. But these fulfilled with little achievement, Lee quit for several years (changed by one Sue Clear), and by enough time she and Tafoya resurrected Znowhite with a fresh tempo section (bassist Alex Olvera and drummer Scott Schafer) and recording (1988’s Roadrunner-released Work of God), any kind of momentum have been squandered. Pursuing yet another employees upheaval another year (like the appearance of vocalist Debbie Gunn and drummer John Slattery), Tafoya made a decision to quit and start refreshing, with his genuine name and a fresh thrash band known as Cyclone Temple.
