Ziryab Trio

Named following a ninth century singer, musician and composer in Haroun Al-Rashid’s court docket in Baghdad, the Ziryab Trio offers continuing to explore the Arabic and Turkish music from the 19th and 20th centuries. Violinist Dakwar, who founded a musical conservatory within the Arab town of Tarshiha, also acts as primary violinist for the Nazareth Orchestra of Classical Arab Music. Percussionist Fresco, the boy of Turkish-Jewish parents, is really a much-in-demand session participant and has documented with several Israeli performers including vocalist Noa.
