Zion

Puerto Rican reggaeton vocalist Zion (Felix Ortiz) was created in Carolina, Puerto Rico. He and his neighbor/friend Gabriel Pizarro shaped the duo Zion & Lennox, who shortly begin showing up on different compilations — a common demonstrating ground for rising reggaeton performers. Like contemporaries Wisin & Yandel, Zion & Lennox implemented the vocalist-plus-MC design, with Zion managing the hooks and melodic aspect of their music. His vocal skills gained him many possibilities for collaborations and visitor spots within a lyric-heavy genre where competent vocalists were few in number. Their performances on well-known compilations such as for example MVP, Mas Flow, Desafio, and Blin Blin, Vol. 1 quickly earned them renown on the home isle, and gained the interest of U.S. viewers. Their initial full-length record, Motivando a la Yal was an excellent success, winning honours such as Greatest Rap Duo and People’s Choice Honours, easily achieving yellow metal record status. Time after, in 2006, the duo made a decision to divide, departing Zion, the popular of the set (his popularity for poor live show notwithstanding), to go after other strategies. He founded Baby Information, to which he’s both a authorized designer and CEO. His desire for being truly a record mogul offers turned into possibilities for previously unsigned performers like Arcangel and De la Ghetto. Baby was also the label for Zion’s single debut, AN IDEAL Melody, which found its way to 2007.
