Zimbabwe

Argentinean seven-piece music group Zimbabwe was shaped in 1994 by ex-Zimbabwe reggae music group percussionist Dario Ungaro and singer/guitarist Marcelo Delgado, following launching a self-titled record in 1987 and Caminando en el Fuego in 1989. The brand new band’s debut record was known as Cuestión de Honor, attaining platinum position in Argentina, while its tune “Traición a la Mejicana” was climbing on regional graphs. After a South American tour, Zimbabwe created two movies in Venezuela, aimed by Dudú Scuderi, and another one for “Loco de Atar,” aimed by Jorge Rosales in Argentina. Cuestión de Honor was honored with a.C.E. for Greatest Pop Record of the entire year. Immediately after issuing an EP known as Seguir en la Ruta, GIT’s Pablo Guyot created Zimbabwe’s A.D.N., that was released in 1996.
