Zilla

Colorado-based Zilla can be an instrumental rock group with much focus on improvisation featuring Michael Travis from the String Cheese Incident (drums, percussion, keyboards, mallet Kat); Jamie Janover (hammered dulcimer, mini-kit, percussion, sampler, electrical kalimba, sitar), who previously used Travis within the music group Zuvuya; and Aaron Holstein (electric guitar, bass, sampler, keyboards), previous guitarist with Boogie Sneakers and Vibe Squad. (When it had been founded, the music group also included keyboardist Steve Vidaic, whose dedication to Citizen Deal triggered him to keep Zilla in-may 2005.) In 2003, Zilla began self-releasing some live albums using the first level of the Crop Group Brain Stock series. The next volume implemented in January 2004; the 3rd on, may 11, 2004; as well as the 4th on November 20, 2004. The band’s following album, Zilla, premiered Feb 23, 2005. Egg made an appearance on August 1, 2005. On November 2, 2005, Zilla embarked on a six-week nationwide tour. On Feb 13 and 14, 2006, the music group went in to the studio room and improvised for over 16 hours, afterwards culling the shows right down to the double-CD established all iZ, their initial studio room album, released with the String Mozzarella cheese Incident’s record label, SCI Fidelity, on Sept 5, 2006.
