Unlike the number of rock bands that reveal the same name, the Canadian indie group Zeus forgoes doom and gloom to create music with three-part harmonies, Americana sensibilities, and sunny force pop hooks. After parting methods using the 6ixty8ights, years as a child close friends (and ten-year veterans from the Toronto music picture) Mike O’Brien and Carlin Nicholson reunited to try out displays as Paso Mino, the support music group of Broken Sociable Picture member Jason Collett. Both started documenting music collectively for fun within their downtime, and recognizing that their tracks got potential, they recruited drummer Rob Drake and multi-instrumentalist Neil Quin to circular out the group. In the summertime of 2009, Zeus released the APPEARS LIKE Zeus EP, which obtained attention using its cover from the Genesis strike “That’s All.” Arts & Crafts released a full-length debut, State Us, the next winter, in Feb of 2010. 2 yrs later, Zeus came back with Busting Visions, which gained enthusiastic evaluations and a pleasant response from enthusiasts; a year following its preliminary discharge, Busting Visions was reissued in a particular edition, along with a reward seven-song EP using the group executing covers of music by Michael Jackson, Big Superstar, Genesis, and R. Kelly, amongst others. Pursuing comprehensive touring in support Busting Visions, Zeus came back to their Sick Eagle Recording Studio room and began focus on their following album; Common Zeus, which regardless of the name was a assortment of 11 brand-new music, premiered by Arts & Crafts in Sept 2014.
