Mostly influenced simply by British isles goth rock, Venezuelan Zapato 3 burst in to the local rock scene in the mid-’80s, issuing their debut album, called exis, Furia y Languidez, in 1989, accompanied by Bésame y Suicídate in 1991 and Separación in 1994. A calendar year afterwards, guitarist Alvaro Segura, vocalist Carlos Segura, bassist Fernando Batoni, keyboardist Jaime Verdaguer, and drummer Rafael Cadavieco came back using a less-dark record known as Cápsulas Em fun??o de Volar. The group produced Ecos Punzantes del Ayer in 1999.
