Furthermore to his blues-rock-inflected Southern Gentlemen, shred-guitar legend David T. Chastain busied himself close to the turn from the millennium with Zanister, a music group which fit nicely in to the revival of melodic, prog rock-tinged power metallic (believe Judas Priest or Iron Maiden) getting favor in a few headbanging circles. Chastain was became a member of by guitarist Michael Harris, his sibling Brian Harris on drums, bassist Wayne Martin, and business lead vocalist Brian Sarvela (also from the Reign of Terror). Zanister debuted on record in 1999 with Symphonica Millennia; the follow-up, Dread No Man, premiered in early 2001.
