Zakarya

Located in Paris, Zakarya had been founded in 1999 by visionary accordionist Yves Weyh and show Alexandre Wimmer about guitar, Vincent Posty about bass, and drummer Pascal Gully. Musically discovering areas of Jewish background, laughter, rhythms, scales, and sensibilities, Zakarya mix folk motifs with rock and roll energy, klezmer give up, and an over-all desire to break limitations. The group authorized with John Zorn’s Tzadik Information in 2000, liberating Zakarya around the label a 12 months later on in 2001, pursuing it with Something Apparent in 2003, 413A (having a visitor place from guitarist Marc Ribot) in 2006, and THE REAL Story Regarding Martin Behaim in 2008.
