Zahara

Joining famous brands Russian Red, Anni B Sweet, and Alondra Bentley, Zahara was area of the new wave of Spanish indie folk, female singer/songwriters that surfaced through the late 2000s. Given birth to Maria Zahara Gordillo Campos in Jaen in 1983, she published her first track aged 12 and after their studies at the music both in the Conservatorio de Musica de Ubeda as well as the Universidad de Almeria, released her debut recording, Dia 913, in 2005. Within the same 12 months she teamed up using the Applebite’s Alfonso Alcala and Pablo Garcia to record an EP affected by famous brands Smashing Pumpkins and Loss of life Cab for Cutie beneath the name Zahara Electrica. Offering the state Vuelta Ciclista a Espana anthem, “Merezco,” her sophomore recording, La Fabulosa Historia De… premiered in ’09 2009, and was adopted in 2011 by La Pareja Toxica. Zahara also made an appearance around the “Ay Haiti” charity solitary, collaborated with Like of Lesbian for an Antonio Vega tribute recording, and starred like a cheerleader within the film La Mujer America.
