Vancouver indie pop quartet Small Liars formed in 2008 from a confluence of community bands which were splitting up, swapping users, and re-forming with new motives. Tempo section Andrew Beck (bass) and Tyler Badali (drums) became a member of forces with vocalist/guitarist Jordan Raine with friend Wes Nickel ultimately becoming a member of them on secrets. Their early attempts took on even more of a dance-punk slant with some complex math rock and roll tendencies tossed in, but by enough time they authorized with Nettwerk Information release a their 2012 debut EP, Homesick Potential, that they had softened perfectly into what they known as summertime synth. Although some from the specialized math rock and roll prowess remained concealed within their tidy acoustic guitar sections, they even more closely identified using the sun-drenched, synth-bliss daydreams of BEATEN UP as well as the earnest love from the Postal Assistance. Their debut full-length, Tidal Influx, found its way to June 2014.
