Young Ejecta

Originally referred to as Ejecta, Young Ejecta may be the gauzy synth pop collaboration between Leanne Macomber and Joel Ford. Ford’s various other projects consist of Tigercity and Ford & Lopatin, aswell as production function for Autre Ne Veut and Oneohtrix Stage Never; Macomber in addition has caused Neon Indian and may be the generating drive behind the cult wish pop act Combat Bite. Macomber and Ford initial fulfilled and became close friends while touring jointly in ’09 2009, and finally began working jointly in 2012. Because they exchanged and enhanced each others’ demos, the idea and personality Ejecta — an embodiment of general longing and reduction — surfaced. In 2013, the duo released its debut one, “Jeremiah (The Denier),” on Driftless Recordings, a label founded by Ford and Patrick McDermott. Afterwards that calendar year, the full-length Dominae appeared. In 2014, Macomber and Ford taken care of immediately a cease-and-desist purchase in the similarly called Irish DJ Ejeca by rechristening themselves Teen Ejecta. Their initial function under their brand-new name was the mini-album THE EARTH, which found its way to early 2015.
