This funky sextet revolved around a nucleus of brothers Billy, Mike and Kenneth Young from West Virginia, USA. After shifting to East Orange, NJ, in 1970 they produced the Teen Movement with Pal ‘Hank’ Hankerson, an ex-member of Aurra (bass/keyboards/electric guitar) and Dave Reyes (drums). The group transformed their name to Flashflood in 1974 and documented with Slave and Aurra. When vocalist and lone distaff member Jackie Thomas became a member of in 1979 they initial recorded as Youthful & Co. One of the primary three monitors they demoed was ‘I Like What You’re Carrying out’, which helped protected a agreement with Brunswick Information. When released, this one reputedly marketed over 250, 000 in america alone, yet hardly ever produced the R&B or pop graph there. It do, however, go completely in to the UK Best 20 in 1980 when found by the recently produced Excalibur label. The group afterwards recorded for Noises Of London and Atlantic Information but hardly ever tasted success once again.
