You Judas

If one were to combine the Deftones, Mogwai, and a far more metal-leaning Radiohead into an experimental, haunting, and somewhat hostile stew, something similar to the U.K.’s You Judas might bubble to the top. Hailing from Derby, Britain, the post-rock quartet thrives on unstable loud/gentle dynamics and it is made up of vocalist/guitarist Jay Dean (also of Fixit Child), guitarist Jonny Hill, bassist Olly Toogood, and drummer Ryan Mawbey (who also lends his abilities towards the addition of varied field recordings). The staff debuted in nov 2005 using the record Discover Mutiny, released via Combat Me Information, a label began a couple of years previously by Dean and his Fixit Child bandmates. The ensuing years discovered the guys concentrating their attention a lot more on dark and large material, thus evoking the music laid down because of their following record, the dramatic and powerful Happiness, to check out match upon its early 2007 launch.
