Yölintu

Yölintu certainly are a Finnish schlager music group that broke to mainstream achievement in 1998 and released an extended line of Best Five albums from that time onward. Founded in 1992, the music group is made up of Simo Silmu (vocals), Matti Silmu (electric guitar), Markus Kuusijoensuu (electric guitar), Kari Heiskari (bass), and Mikko Taipale (drums). Saku Mansikkamäki, a founding member, was the band’s drummer for over ten years (1992-2003). Yölintu produced their record debut in 1993 with Yölintu Laskeutuu, accompanied by Pieni Lintunen (1994) and Kaikki Kohdallaan (1997). Then they broke to mainstream achievement with their 4th record, Tositarkoituksella (1998), a high Five hit in the Finnish albums graph. Yölintu’s popularity out of this stage onward was therefore durable that all from the band’s albums released through the following decade was a high Five strike, including Pienen Pojan Haaveet (2000), Sit downä Saa Mitä Tilaa (2001), Tää On Rankkaa (2002), Mahdunko Maailmaas — Kaikki Parhaat (2003), Mennyttä Miestä (2005), Haavoittumaton (2007), and Nyt ja Aina (2009).
