b. Courtney John Morrison, 8 Sept 1970, Annotto Bay, Jamaica, Western world Indies. Morrison followed his stage name from his grandmother who nicknamed him Yogi Keep, a mention of his T-shirt that he used as a kid which highlighted the famous childrens favourite. He originated from a musical family members; his uncles included Winston and Beres Hammond, although he cites Bob Marley and Alton Ellis as his affects. Yogie was informed both in Jamaica and Canada, getting a degree running a business research from Toronto’s Humber University. On his go back to Jamaica he pursued his preliminary dreams and embarked on a musical profession.
